‘Chhath Puja’ celebrated at Panambur Beach

Chhath is a Vedic ritual and the only in Hinduism dedicated to Hindu God Sun, and his sister Chhathi Maiyya. It has also been mentioned in both the major Indian epics – In Ramayana, when Rama and Sita returned Ayodhya, then people celebrated Deepawali, and on its sixth day Ramrajya was established. On this day Rama and Sita kept fast and Chhath was performed by Sita. Hence, she was blessed with Luv and Kush as their sons. While in the Mahabharata, Chhath Puja was performed by Draupadi/ Kunti after they escaped from Lakshagrih.

Mr Lal Goel, Chairman, Organ Donation India Foundation and Chief Promoter Pandit Health Resort & Spa attended ‘Chhath Puja’ along with Mr Narottam Mishra IRS, Principal Commissioner, Income Tax Mangaluru, Mr Amit Kumar, DC CISF, Mr Bhagirath, Sr Engineer Jet Airways, Mr Shailendra, Engineer SpiceJet and others at Panambur Beach Mangaluru.
