Bengaluru: Constitution Drafting Committee Chairman Dr. B. R. Ambedkar 131st birth anniversary was celebrated in State on Thursday April 14. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai distributed Ambedkar award to various achievers at Banquet Hall in Vidhan Soudha here. The programme was organised by Social Welfare Department. Even Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee paid their respects to Ambedkar. Also, CM Bommai laid the foundation stone for works of Ambedkar – Spoorthi Bhavan.
