Mangaluru: Indian Cricket team coach Ravi Shastry was in his native village on Tuesday, May 22, to take part in some religious rituals.
Shastry visited the ‘Moola Nagabana’ (serpent shrine) and also the Vishnumurthy temple at Karval in Karkala. It is said that Shastry traces his ancestry to the very same village and over the last ten years, he has been returning to his roots to take part in religious rituals without fails.
Vishnumurthy temple Vice-President and renowned journalist Manohar Prasad, who is also Shastry’s cousin accompanied the former cricketer.
