Mumbai: They say a kind heart is that which feels the distress of the mute animals and birds. If that is true then the Tinsel Town of Mumbai certainly has that one kind heart that feels the anguish of the birds.
The fierce meddling of man with nature has resulted in destruction of the natural habitat of several bird species. The result is that several birds have been wiped off the surface of earth.
Even as mercury level shot up in Mumbai, a young journalist named Rons Bantwal is making that extra bit of efforts to help the little winged guest to beat the heat.
The moments of ecstasy of the birds are captured in the photo series.
At his residence at Chakala in Andheri East, Rons has made a small garden where birds of various species take refuge from heat. Rons has made small swings, placed tumblers of water and has also stocked up some food for the birds, which they readily relish. They swing, have a dip in water, ‘drink and dine’ and fly their way. Each of the expressions of the birds is priceless.
Kudos to the nature lover, who has been doing this small, yet significant move for the sake of nature.
