Social Welfare and District Minister HC Mahadevappa Encourages Martial Arts for Self-Defence and Physical Well-Being  emphasized the importance of martial arts in promoting physical well-being for all individuals, especially students. Speaking at the inauguration of the 19th state-level karate championship organized by Naga Martial Arts Academy at Chamundi Vihar Stadium, he highlighted the significance of karate as a tool for self-defence, particularly for girls in both private and public schools.

Minister Mahadevappa encouraged the participants to stay motivated and learn martial arts, drawing inspiration from renowned figures like boxer Muhammad Ali. He also released the annual calendar of the Naga Martial Arts Academy during the event.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including historian PV Nanjaraj Urs, Naga Martial Arts Academy founder Sosale Siddaraju, ACP Pratap Reddy, and youth empowerment and sports affairs assistant director Bhaskar.
