Mysuru MP Yaduveer Wadiyar has launched the MyMysuru 2030 Ideathon, a citizen-driven innovation challenge designed to tap into public creativity for the city’s future development. Launched in collaboration with civic bodies and local organisations, the initiative offers residents a platform to directly shape Mysuru’s urban evolution.
“Our vision for Mysuru in 2030 blends tradition with innovation. We want ideas that honour our heritage while driving sustainability and smart growth,” said Wadiyar during the launch.
The ideathon revolves around eight key themes crucial for Mysuru’s long-term sustainability:

- Rural-Urban Integration
Participation is open to all Mysuru residents or anyone passionate about the city’s future. Teams of 1–4 members are allowed, and cross-institution collaborations are encouraged. Each team may submit up to two ideas across different themes.
Ideas will be judged by an expert panel based on innovation, practicality, impact, and sustainability.
- Submission window: August 8–22
- Review & evaluation: August 23–27
- Shortlist announcement: August 28
- Grand Finale & winners: August 31
