Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner Lakshmikanth Reddy has directed officials to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the II PU and SSLC examinations in the district. Leading a preparatory meeting on Friday, he outlined stringent measures to prevent malpractices.

The II PU exams will take place from March 1 to 20, with 35,362 students appearing across 50 centres. Mysuru city will have 27 centres, while 23 will be in rural areas, covering all taluks. The exams will be held from 10 AM to 1 PM.

Key security measures include:
GPS tracking in vehicles transporting question papers.
CCTV surveillance in all exam centres.
Webcasting of the entire process.
Mobile phone ban inside examination halls.
Police personnel deployed at key locations for security.

For the SSLC exams, scheduled from March 21 to April 4, 37,904 students (19,114 boys, 18,790 girls) will appear across 133 centres, including HD Kote, Hunsur, KR Nagar, and Mysuru taluks.

Additional measures for SSLC exams include:
🔹 133 chief supervisors, 24 assistant supervisors, and 54 route officers for monitoring.
🔹 200-metre restriction around exam centres to prevent external disturbances.
🔹 Closure of photocopying shops near exam venues.
🔹 Mobile seizure officers at each centre to curb cheating.

Authorities have assured strict vigilance to uphold exam integrity and fairness.
