Mysuru: In a daring attempt, a group of disguised thieves tried to loot a residence in Periyapatna taluk. The gang targeted the home of Suresh Mbub on Byulukuppe First Camp Road, aiming to break in under the cover of darkness.

The burglars first attempted to disable security surveillance by snatching a CCTV camera, likely to erase evidence of their actions. However, their plan took an unexpected turn when a neighbor’s house lights flickered on, startling the criminals. Fearing exposure, the gang abandoned their mission and escaped before authorities arrived.

According to locals, the suspects were posing as workers, possibly to avoid suspicion. Their quick exit suggests they were well aware of the risks involved. Law enforcement has registered a case at Byulukuppe Police Station, launching an investigation to identify and track down the culprits.

Authorities urge residents to remain vigilant, strengthen home security, and report any suspicious activity to help curb such crimes.
