In a major crackdown on illegal sex trade in rural Mysuru, the police conducted a swift raid on a prostitution racket operating out of a private residence in Dasanakoppalu village, falling under Jayapura police station limits. The operation was carried out following a specific tip-off received by Odanadi Seva Sanstha, a local non-profit known for its anti-trafficking interventions.

The rescue-and-arrest operation was led by Cyber Crime Inspector Sunil, with active participation from Stanley Parushu, the director of Odanadi Seva Sanstha. Based on the actionable intelligence, the team stormed the house and discovered that it was being used to run a prostitution ring.

During the raid, eight individuals were arrested, including six men allegedly involved as clients and facilitators. Importantly, two key individuals responsible for organizing and managing the illegal business were also taken into custody.

In a positive outcome of the intervention, two young women who had been forced into sex work were rescued and are now under the care of rehabilitation agencies for support and counseling.

All the accused are currently in police custody and are being interrogated as part of the ongoing investigation. Authorities have assured that a deeper probe is underway to trace the larger network involved, if any, and ensure legal action against those exploiting vulnerable women.

The police praised Odanadi Seva Sanstha for their timely information and support, reiterating their commitment to eradicating human trafficking and protecting victims of exploitation.
