Mysuru: In a tragic incident, Suresh (40), a real estate businessman, and his wife Pallavi (28) were found dead in Dodda Honnur Kaval village under the jurisdiction of Bailukoppa Police Station in Periyapatna taluk. The couple reportedly died by suicide due to financial distress and pressure from debts, leaving behind a note explaining the circumstances.
Suresh, son of Jayanna, had been engaged in the real estate sector for the past few years. However, his business venture failed to take off as expected, resulting in significant financial losses. To keep the business afloat, he had taken loans but found it increasingly difficult to manage repayments. Additionally, he faced mounting pressure from lenders and what was reportedly an aggressive real estate mafia, which further added to his stress.
According to sources, the couple decided to end their lives at an old, abandoned farmhouse in Dodda Honnur Kaval. They left a suicide note detailing the financial and personal pressures that had driven them to this tragic decision.
The local police arrived at the scene and transferred the bodies to Kushalnagar hospital for post-mortem examination. An investigation is underway to understand more about the couple’s financial dealings and any related pressure they may have faced from loan providers or other parties involved in the real estate sector.
