Mysuru: Four young Black Belt Taekwondo athletes from Mysuru Sai Taekwondo Academy participated in the Guinness World Record official attempt for the ‘Largest Taekwondo Lesson’ held at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad recently.
Four young athletes represent Mysuru
The participants were Sameeksha, a Class 10 student; Kushali, a Class 8 student; Chayank, a Class 6 student; and Advika, a Class 4 student. All four are students of Kendriya Vidyalaya Mysuru.
Their participation brought recognition to Mysuru’s young sporting talent as they joined hundreds of Taekwondo enthusiasts for the record attempt.
533 take part in record attempt
A total of 533 participants took part in the event, surpassing the previous benchmark of 302 participants.
The event was organised by Jayanth Reddy International Taekwondo Academy (JRITA) in association with Suman Art Theatres.
The large-scale lesson brought together participants in an effort to establish a new Guinness World Record for the largest Taekwondo lesson.
Young athletes trained in Mysuru
The four athletes are trained by Master DVS Pratap Babu, a 5th Dan Black Belt and trainer at Mysuru Sai Taekwondo Academy.
Their participation in the Hyderabad event highlighted the growing interest in Taekwondo among young students in Mysuru and their dedication to training alongside their academic commitments.
The achievement also provided the young athletes with an opportunity to participate in an international record-setting attempt alongside hundreds of fellow practitioners.
