President of India Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Mysuru on September 1 to participate in the diamond jubilee celebrations of the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) at Manasagangotri.
Confirming the development, AIISH Director M. Pushpavathi stated that official communication has been received regarding the President’s participation. The upcoming programme will mark a significant milestone for AIISH, which has been at the forefront of research, education, and services in speech and hearing sciences.
This will be President Murmu’s second visit to Mysuru. Her first visit was on September 26, 2022, when she inaugurated the famous Nada Habba Dasara celebrations.
According to the schedule, the President will first land in Bengaluru before arriving in a special aircraft at the Mysuru Airport. In preparation for her visit, Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy convened a preliminary meeting with officials. He stressed the importance of ensuring foolproof security arrangements and directed departments to coordinate seamlessly to avoid any lapses.
The event is expected to draw prominent dignitaries, academicians, and professionals from across the country, underlining the national importance of AIISH’s six-decade-long contribution. With the President’s participation, the jubilee celebration is set to gain further prestige, reinforcing Mysuru’s reputation as a center of cultural and educational excellence.
