Mysuru: Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar dismissed any speculation about political upheaval in Karnataka, stating that state politics will remain calm and stable post-September.

Speaking to the media after offering prayers at Chamundi Hills during the third Ashada Friday with her family, the Minister reiterated that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s five-year tenure has already been assured. “When the CM himself has clarified his full term, there’s no need for further speculation,” she stated.

Referring to discussions on leadership change, Minister Hebbalkar said, “Both CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar have spoken on this. We are a national party and not in a position to debate this publicly. Any decision will ultimately rest with the party high command.”

🔹 Grihalakshmi Scheme Payouts Are On Schedule

Responding to remarks by H.M. Revanna, Chairperson of the Guarantee Scheme Implementation Committee, that Grihalakshmi scheme funds are released every three months, the Minister clarified:
“We are making monthly payments. Funds have been released up to May, and the process for June’s disbursement is ongoing. There is no delay or disruption in payments. I’m unsure why Revanna made that statement.”

With this, the Minister put to rest doubts about both political stability and the implementation of key welfare schemes.
