Mysuru: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has praised the students of Purna Chetana School for their exceptional work in writing, editing, and publishing the book Path Shala-Jeevan Yatra, which encapsulates their life experiences, aspirations, and reflections.

A unique student-led publication

Path Shala-Jeevan Yatra is a collection of 189 articles penned by 104 students from grades I to X. The book weaves together their personal stories, creative expressions, and reflections on diverse themes, including familial bonds, friendships, life lessons, and admiration for parental and societal influences.

Some of the key themes explored in the book include:

  • Wisdom shared by grandparents.
  • Reflections on education and life lessons from school.
  • Aspirations for an ideal home and the selfless contributions of mothers.
  • The role of teachers as guiding lights.
  • Life lessons from nature, sports clubs, and personal experiences beyond academics.

Notably, the book has been awarded an ISBN, marking it as the first children’s publication from Mysuru to achieve this milestone, underscoring its literary and cultural significance.

Recognition a ‘greatest reward’ for students

Expressing his pride, CEO B. Darshan Raj called the recognition by the Union Finance Minister a remarkable achievement and an inspiration for the students. “This acknowledgment elevates the responsibility of the school to further nurture creativity and engagement among our students,” he stated.

Darshan Raj also emphasised the school’s commitment to advancing the Bharatiya education system, viewing it as an essential responsibility.

Commitment to holistic development

Chief Administrator Madhurya Ramaswamy reiterated the school’s dedication to the all-round development of its students. “This book reflects our efforts to build a strong intellectual foundation for our students. It is our small but meaningful contribution to the nation’s progress,” she said.

The book’s success and the recognition it has received have sparked motivation among the students, teachers, and well-wishers of Purna Chetana School. Rakesh and Neela, two of the school’s supporters, also joined the celebration of this significant milestone.
