‘Summer Shine’ Vacation Camp for Children inaugurated

Abu Dhabi: Annual Vacation Camp for Children, “Summer Shine” was inaugurated by Hon. Acting President Rajan Zacharia on July 9, 2016.

The camp will be conducted at India Social and Cultural Centre from July 9, 2016, onwards in the evenings from 5.00 to 9.00 pm till July 31, 2016. The camp gives an ideal platform for the children to have leisure & fun filled vacation where they will get an opportunity to learn different subjects. The camp is designed as an infotainment program with a number of classes on different subjects, variety of sports activities, fun games and informative sessions to refresh and enhance the skills of the children and to provide them an ideal vacation. ISC is utilizing their various state- of- the-art facilities to cater for the Camp requirements. Bus services will be available from various locations for the interested participants. As the theme of the Camp is “Indulge, Learn, Play and grow”, participants will be finding it extremely enjoyable and they will be rightly utilizing their vacation in the best way while learning, making new friends and having fun.

The Camp Director is Dr. Rajah Balakrishna, ably supported by a group of dedicated volunteering officials. ISC is exercising extreme care for the children and wherever the children are engaged, stringent supervision is being exercised, including while serving food and utilizing transportation facilities. Full time Professional Medical Team Support team is arranged with First Aid Facilities. Snacks and soft drinks are provided every day to the participants. The topics covered in the Camp includes but not limited to; Classes on different subjects, Social Media do’s & Do Not’s, How to take good selfies, clean habits & etiquette training, new hobbies, Indoor Football, Indoor Cricket, Martial Arts, Net Ball, Table Tennis, Tennikoit, Chess, Caroms, Scrabble, Badminton, Swimming, Yoga, Tug of War, Drawing, Water & Oil Painting and Competitions, Wood Carving & Burning, Origami Art, Clay modeling, Dance, Music, Mobile photography, Video, Film Shows, Basic Photoshop, Zumba Dance, Fun Games, and many other subjects. Day long field trips will be arranged for the attendees. A panel of experts in each category is being engaged to train the Children.

A total strength of over 300 children from age groups 7- 17 Years is expected for the Camp. There will be dance, music and variety of performances by the participants on the Camp concluding day and all the children will be regularly trained professionally for the same.

“Each day, children will wait for the afternoon to commence, such that they can assemble for the Camp in the evening; that is the kind of enthusiasm and spirit the Camp participants will be enjoying in this Summer Shine Camp,” Hon. General Secretary John P. Varghese and Literary Secretary R. Jayadevan explained.
