Abu Dhabi: A little girl, who missed the chance to shake hands with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi had a pleasant surprise, on Monday.
Ayesha Al-Mazroue from Abu Dhabi had tried to shake hands with the Crown Prince during an event last week. She was one of the children chosen to welcome Mohammed Bin Salman, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, to the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, last week.
A video shared by UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, shows Ayesha lined up at the red carpet, with her hand outstretched to shake the royal’s hand as he walked by her. The video also shows her making yet another attempt to shake hands, but only to be left disappointed as the Crown Prince walks down the carpet.
It is said that after viewing the video, Sheikh Mohommed visited Ayesha and her family to make up for the oversight. “Today I visited the child Aisha Mohammed Mushait Al Mazrouei and I was happy to greet her and meet her family,” the Crown Prince wrote on Twitter, sharing pictures from the visit.
He interacted with the family and also obliged to click pictures with them before leaving.
The photos, shared on Monday, have collected over 20,000 ‘likes’. Many have praised the Crown Prince in the comments section.
