Bahrain: Bahrain Kannada sangha organized the ‘Big fight’, a debate competition for its members at its premises in Manama recently.
The program started with warm welcome extended by Mr. Mohan Edneer, the general secretary of the Sangha, and social issues such as Impact of social media on children and having single child- pros and cons were discussed. There were almost 10 participants in the discussion and the audience was engrossed in the debate.
Mr. A.D. Mohan and Thakshak Pai spoke for the topic of social impact on children and Ms. Veena Ramesh and Mr. Madhusoodhan spoke against. Mr. Kiran Upadhyay, Mr. Mohammed Abba and Ms. Prathima Raj spoke about the problems of having single child and Mr. Vijay Naik, Mr. Nagesh Shetty and Mr. Sanjeev Shetty spoke about the advantages.
In the audience poll, Team of Mr. Kiran, Mr. Abba and Ms. Pratima bagged the 1st place and team of Mr. Mohan and Master Takshak won the second place. There were many questions from the audience and debaters answered them positively and altogether there was a healthy discussion on the topics .
Big fight debate was moderated by Ms. Chethana Rajendra Hegde. The event was concluded with the prize distribution followed by the vote of thanks.
