Dubai/Bengaluru: Pragna Ananth a 9th grade student of Gems Founders’ School, Dubai and disciple of Guru Vidushi Sapna Kiran (Director of Sankeerna School of Dance- Dubai) presented Bharathanatya Rangapravesha on Saturday, August 4 at the Gayana Samaja Auditorium, Bengaluru.
Pragna entered the stage donned with a beautiful costume and made a great first impression by performing Ganesha Vandane, Pushpanjali and created a devotional mood. She held the attention of the packed auditorium of over 700 people for two and half hours with traditional items of Bharathanatya Margam such as Alarippu, Jatiswara, Shabdam, Varnam, Thillana and Padam amongst others.
The chief guest of the evening senior Kannada Film actor Pranayaraja Shrinath praised the beauty, talent, expressions and hard work of the young girl. He also praised the Guru Sapna Kiran and her Guru Savitha Arun for continuing the great “shishya parampara” and their contribution to the Indian culture.
The host of the evening, the parents of Pragna, Srilekha Ananth and Ananth Raghunath felicitated the Gurus, Chief Guest, special invitees, music team and those who were instrumental in hosting the event and gave the vote of thanks.
