Dubai/Bengaluru: Dinesh Chandrashekar Devadiga Nagoor, a native of Kundapur, Kannadiga businessman residing in Dubai, received the Aryabhata International Award 2017. Retired Justice K Shridhar Rao felicitated Dinesh Devadiga on May 23 at a grand ceremony held at the Ravindra Kalakshetra Auditorium, Bengaluru.
In recognition of Dinesh Devadiga’s exemplary contribution to the fields of education, medical and community social services the award was bestowed on him by Aryabhata Cultural Organisation (R) Bangalore, India.
In his address as the chief guest, media advisor of Delhi Doordarshan Dr. Mahesh Joshi applauded the achievements and contributions of Dinesh to the society at large.
Film Director S B Rajendra Singh, Organisational President of Aryabhata Dr. H M N Rao, President of Namma Kundapra Kannada Dubai Sadan Das, KADAM member Sheena Devadiga among others were present on the occasion.
‘Elegant Dinesh’-a short introduction
Being the President of KADAM (Kundapura Devadiga Mitra), Dinesh Devadiga is a well-known name in the social circles. He is also the Managing Director of Elegant Group of Companies in Dubai.
Simple and humble, Dinesh Devadiga is a philanthropist who has voluntarily helped the destitute and the downtrodden. He has been silently supporting various charities without any distinction of caste, creed or religion. Fondly known as “Elegant Dinesh”, he is also the Vice President of Namma Kundapra Kannada Organisation. “Other than self-development, it is equally important to ensure the development of the society by helping those in need”, he says.
When anyone asks him about his secret of success he says, “If you love your parents and receive their blessings, you will always be successful in life” and gives credit to the values he internalised at an early age.
In his every endeavor, his wife Vishala Dinesh was a pillar of support along with their two children, Milan Devadiga and Dhanya Devadiga.
Dinesh has been honoured by various organisations including Devadiga Sangha Dubai at a recently held annual function of the organisation. On hearing the news of the prestigious award, he was also honoured by the Devadiga Sangha Byndoor, Devadiga Sangha Uppunda, Devadiga Sangha Bangalore, Devadiga Sangha Mangalore and youth organisations in the surrounding areas of Navunda and neighbouring cities of Kundapura.
