Humanitarian services of UAE Kannadiga Mamata Sharja, Hadiya Mandya

Abudhabi: Mamata Sharja native of Bengaluru and Hadiya Mandya have offered humanitarian services several times to the NRI Kannadigas.

Amid the pandemic, they have fed several people in distress. Responding to the calls they have helped women and kids by offering essential items.

When many Kannadigas came to Dubai through some brokers and were forced to unwillingly Hadiya and Mamata met with such Kannadigas and shifted them to safer places.

A few months ago, a young Indian-origin girl in Dubai who was missing has been making a lot of headlines in news media and social networks. Mamata and Hadiya Mandya were also there with the Hemmaya UAE Kannadigaru team when they went to meet the girl in the Ajman area.

Similarly, they have helped many women in distress from Al Qasis, Al Karamah, Bur Dubai, Ajman Sharjah, and many other areas in different ways.

When India’s airline shutdown during Covid, many Kannadigas, who lost their jobs in Dubai, arrived on interview visas, were pregnant, sick, elderly were stuck in Dubai. Hemmeya UAE Kannadigaru team has worked in many ways, including delivering people to the airport when special repatriation chartered flights were arranged to deliver distressed Kannadigas to their homeland.
