Dubai: Shivaram, popularly known as Shivaramanna in Kannada industry was honoured on behalf of pro-kannada associations in UAE recently.
Dubai Fortune Group of Hotels Chairman Praveen Shetty, Acme Building Materials Trading LLC administrative director Harish Sherigar, Chilly Willy’s Sathish Venkataramana, Abhudhabi Karnataka Sangha president Sarvotham Shetty, Billawas Dubai Sathish Poojary, James Mendonca, Kannada Koota’s Mallikarjuna Gowda, Sadan Das, UAE Mogaveera Sangha’s Balakrishna Salian, Sugandharaj Bekal were present.
Shivram is presently the convenor of Samrthanam Trust for Disabled in Bengaluru. Recently he visited US, where he presented artistic talents of disabled from his trust.
He became popular after the successful movie ‘Nagarahavu’, which was released in 1972 directed by Puttanna Kanagal, where Vishnuvardhan was the lead actor. Charactors in the movie like Chamayya(Ashwath) master, Ramachari(Vishnuvardhan) and Varada(Shivaram) and picturisation of Chitradurga was well appreciated by the audience.
Coming from a artists family, Shivram has acted in more than 1000 dramas and 300 films. ‘Sharapanjara’, ‘Gurushishyaru’ and ‘Shubhamangala’ are the few movies of Shivram which made him popular. He has shared screen with Pranayaraja Shrinath in more than 80 films.
