Abu Dhabi: Konkani Speaking Community in Abu Dhabi will be celebrating the Feast of Nativity (Monthi Fest) at St. Joseph’s Cathedral on Thursday, 10th September 2015.
The evening’s ceremony will commence at 7.45 p.m. with blessing of the new harvest and showering of Flowers to Mother Mary by children followed by procession and Solemn Holy Mass at St, Therese Church at 8.00 p.m.
The traditional festival which is widely popular and has been in practice on the Konkan belt will bring back the memories of annual family Reunion practiced since ages. The festival is of utmost importance to the devotees to show their love and respect to Mother Mary.
Light refreshments will be served by KCO to all attendees at the end of the ceremony to mark this occasion. All Konkani speaking community members are invited to be part of the celebrations.
