Dubai: Famous poet and drama director Prakash Payyar’s Tulu poems collection UrettaKannuda Siri was released in Dubai at grand ceremony.
CEO of UAE Exchange Mr. Sudhir Kumar Shetty released the book along with other dignitaries President of the function Mr. Sarvottam Shetty, Director of Arab Udupi Hotels Mr. Shekhar Shetty, MD of Mosaco Shipping Mr. Frank Fernandes, writers Mr. Manohar Tonse, Mr. Gopinath Rao and author of book Mr. Prakash Payyar.
Speaking to the audience Mr. Sudhir said, “any language or literature develops and emerges first at each and every families. So it’s every parent’s responsibility to teach their mother language to their children. Mr. Payyar has done a brilliant job in his new poem collection and it will be a great treasure to Tulu literature. Prakash started his literary journey at 1985 and still he continued wielding his pen for new write ups”. He wished him all the best and requested all to support poets and artists for their service to culture and society.
The program was held at the Fortune Grand Hotel apartments Dubai. Before the book release the dignitaries lit the traditional lamp. The same book was released at te Tulu Sahitya Academy Mangalore, one week previously.
Mr. Gopinath Rao and Mr. Manohar Tonse wonderfully elaborated on the ideal views of the poet and his concern towards the Tulu nature, culture and the scenes he passed through during his life tenure.
Mr. Frank Fernandes and Mr. Shekhar Shetty wished good success to Prakash Payyar and his new book UrettaKannuda Siri.
President of the program Mr. Sarvottam Shetty at his presidential speech memorized the relationship between him and Prakash Payyar. He congratulated Prakash for his selfless service for culture and literature through Dhwani Pratishtana. Mr. Sarvottam Shetty almost all true artists, writers and poets and poor in their financial conditions but their intention to serve to society is very rich. When good hearted people are joining hands to protect and to cultivate the talent of these people then miracles will happen as UrettaKannuda Siri. He wishes all success to Payyar for his future endeavor.
Prakash Payyar is a well-known name at UAE and Mumbai for his cultural activities. He is known for his association Dhwani Pratishtana which experiments with various genres in the drama and culture field. Prakash Payyar has been honored by many associations at UA, as well as at India.
Mr. Sampath briefly explained the literary work of Prakash Payyar and his awards. Mr. Prakash Payyar honored the dignitaries with flower bouquets. He also greeted many association leaders who present during the occasion.
