Dubai: A preparatory meet for Shaneeshwara pooja, which is scheduled to be held on September 30 was held on February 26 at Das Prakash hotel in Karama.
While the date for the event has been scheduled, the venue would be finalised soon, resolved the meet.
Mohandas Swamiji of Shri Kshetradhama, Manila will be blessing the event. Renowned priest Vedamurthy Kukkunje Nagananda Vasudeva Acharya, Udupi will perform the pooja rituals.
Shamnadiga, renowned judge, Kumble will perform Shanikatha Parayana and local Bhajana Mandali members will be rendering Bhajans on the occasion. The event includes Seer’s welcome ceremony (Poornakumbha), blessing, Bhajans, Maha Mangalarathi, Pooja Prasadam distribution and Anna Santarpane.
Office bearer of the Puja Committee Vittal Shetty provided programme details. Sudhakar Thumbe read out the list of guests who will be arriving for the event and also spoke about the journey of Shaneeshwara pooja over the last 5 years. He also rendered vote of thanks. All the members gathered in the meeting gave suggestions for the event.
Chandrashekhar, brother of swamiji was present during the meeting as a special guest.
Anand Salian, Jagannath Bellare, Rithu Anchan Kulshekhar, Krishna Kumar Ila, Balu Shetty Madoor, Sandeep Kumar Devadiga and Jayanth Shetty were present.
