Dubai: The trailer of the much awaited movie “Asathoma Sadgamaya”, produced by Ashwin Pereira and directed by Rajesh Venoor, was released internationally amid much fun fare at the Hotel Fortune Plaza in Dubai on March 23.
The trailer was released by the Chairman of the Fortune Group of Hotels, Praveen Shetty.
Addressing the gathering after the release, Praveen Shetty said, “Releasing a Kannada movie trailer in Dubai is the happiest thing ever for Kannadigas. It is evident from the trailer that the movie has both good entertainment and a message for the society.” He wished the filmmakers success for the movie.
Jain Milan, President, Deva Kumar Kambli, speaking on the occasion said, “The title of the movie has a very deep meaning. The movie aptly reflects upon the decline of the government schools. I was educated in a government school, and by the grace of God I have been blessed with prosperity. I wish that the film completes 100 days in theatres.”
Arun K Muthugadoor said, “When we were in school, our day began with the chanting of the ‘ Asathoma Sadgamaya’ mantra. The title of the movie makes us recall our childhood memories.”
Film producer Ashwin Periera also spoke on the occasion. “The Indian expats in Dubai have shown love and encouragement for Kannada films and programmes. This is why we were drawn here and decided to release the trailer in Dubai. We request the audience to encourage this film in the same way that they have encouraged the other films”, he said.
KCO Adviser Valerian Dalmaida, Philanthropist and MD of Merit Freight Shipping LLC Dubai Joseph Mathais, Shodhan Prasad of Sandhya Creations were present as guests of honour.

About ‘Asathoma Sadgamaya’
Asatoma Sadgamaya, is a family entertainer with hints of comedy, that seeks to refocus people perceptions of the world. The movie focuses on special bonds, relationships, and emotions and asks people to go along on the journey in order to rekindle in them to focus on the same things as well.
The family friendly movie stars Radhika Chetan and Kiran Raj are in the lead roles. The movie, presented by Icare Movies, has been directed by Mangaluru’s Rajesh Venoor and produced and co-produced by Ashwin J Pereira and Melissa D’Souza, respectively.
Vikram and Nelson are the executive producers of the movie. The movie contains five songs, which have been directed by Wahab Salim. The cinematographer of the movie is Kishore.
The movie also stars Lasya Nagaraj, Deepak Shetty and Baby Chitrali. The movie also debuts Pradeep Barboza Paladka, hero and director of “Ek Aslylar Ek Na” fame and Deepak Paladka, comedy actor in Konkani and Tulu film who is popular in Dubai and Mangaluru.
