Abu Dhabi: Sandhya Creations’ second venture ‘DHAND’, after being successfully released in Sharjah, recently, with three shows, is all set to have a special screening on demand in Abu Dhabi, at Eldorado Cinema on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 4.30 pm.

The response in Sharjah was reportedly so good that Tulu movie lovers across UAE are asking to have more shows in their territories across UAE. This prompted the organizers to have special screening in Abu Dhabi now and plans are being made to have the film screened in Al Quoz, Dubai as well.

‘Dhand’ created history by being the first ever Tulu Movie to have been released outside India in Australia recently with 2 shows in Perth & Melbourne. DHAND also has the record of being the first ever Tulu Movie news featured with Tulu song aired in BBC Radio Asian Network hosted by RJ Omkar Shanthi recently. “Nina Teliken” song sung by Sonu Nigam was aired in BBC Radio which received tremendous response by listeners. DHAND ran successfully in Mangalore for around 70 days and had many shows screened in Mumbai & Nashik with more shows in the pipeline during the first week of October.

Produced by Shodhan Prasad with story written and directed by Ranjith Bajpe of Nirel fame, the film sees Arjun Kapikad playing protagonist of the movie along with Sandeep Shetty, Nirel fame Anoop Sagar whose performance in a negative role was really appreciated along with Deepak Paladka who acted as main comedian, supported by Gopinath Bhat, Umesh Mijar, Ranjan Boloor, Shilpa Suvarna, Anvita Sagar, Nidhi Maroli and Shodhan Prasad playing major roles in the movie along with other actors.

Songs have been penned by lyricsts Rajneesh Amin, Loku Kudla and Ravichandran Sonandur for the music composed by Abhishek S.N.

DHAND is all about the fight against drug abuse and atrocities towards women and this female oriented movie has been acclaimed one of the best storyline ever made in Tulu Movies so far with a good social message widely appreciated wherever released. Comparatively it has all the qualities of a good Bollywood movie entirely shot in and around beautiful natural locales of Mangalore.
