Dubai: Tulu Patherga Tulu Oripaga facebook team for the first time has decided to give scholarships to poor students of Tulunadu studying in Kannada medium. The scholarship will be given to poor students except irrespective of any religion. The applications are available on the Facebook group, page and Websites.
The applications must be filled and sent before May 20 to the team. Students studying in English medium can not apply.
The team which was promoting Tulu language and Lipi, is registered and now it has been actively organising various social activities.
Tulu patherga Tulu oripaga(R) was inaugurated by Shri Harikrishna Punaroor, Deviprasad Punaroor presided over the function. Dr Ganesh Amin Sankamar, Jyothi Cheleiru and Yogish Shetty were present.
A known team in Dubai, Tulu patherga Tulu oripaga has organised various Blood donaion camps and Tulu folk festivals including Gauji Gammath successfully. To promote and preserve Tulu language Lipi, a book named ‘Appe Base’ was released and 2,000 copies have been distributed for free. Vivek Rai released the book on the occasion.
Dr Mohan Alva, Sarvotham Shetty, Shodhan Prasad and editor Prem Jeeth, Shobhitha Prem, Sathish Ullal, Rithu Anchan Kumar were present. Dr Veerendra Heggade who read the book appreciated the author and the team.
Tulu Patherga Tulu oripaga team had successfully organised blood donation camp at AJ Hospital under Yogish Shetty Jeppu in 2014 and this year too on May 17 the camp has been organised.
