London: Milton Keynes Kannadigaru are eagerly awaiting haadu Hakki ‘Ratnamala Prakash’ to grace the ‘Hachevu kannadada deepa’ event which is scheduled to be held on November 22, 2015 at Newton Longville hall in Milton Keynes.
Kannadigaru UK (KUK) has tirelessly worked for the past 11 years and strived to place the culture and heritage of Karnataka at its epicentre. Be it inviting artists from Karnataka, providing opportunities to learn Kannada or offering a platform for local talents, Kannadiga’s in UK have always been made to feel at home by keeping the bond alive, owing to the efforts of KUK.
Keeping this in mind, Milton Keynes Kannadigaru (MKK), a chapter of Kannadigaru UK, is set to transform Newton Longville hall in Milton Keynes into a day full of festivities showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Karnataka. The event is set to shine gloriously and is expected to be celebrated with great joy and vigour by over 200 Kannadigas from all over UK. Patriotic fervour, pomp and gaiety are some of the hues of line ups the event boasts of.
While, at the last year’s event, vivid dance performances from young artists from Samarthana group guided by well-known actor K. Shivaram was the highlight, at this year’s event, Karnataka’s pride and joy ‘Ratnamala Prakash’, renowned for bestowing greatness upon ‘Sugama Sangeetha’ music genre, will be the ‘crème de la crème’. Ratnamala Prakash will deliver a repertoire of Kannada lyric music favourites and select few popular songs, in what many consider to be a spine-tingling performance!
A true unrivalled vocal magic of this nature has been set to steal the hearts and souls of over 200 Kannadigas on November 22. Renowned actress and a household name, Preeti Chandrashekar, will also captivate and entertain the audience with her intelligent and delightful narration. This vibrant and colourful event will also feature Yakshagana, Kuchipudi and Abhinaya nrathya.
While intense practice and endless rehearsals are underway to ensure that every detail is in order, MKK deserves a shout out for their commendable efforts in making this a memorable event.
