Dubai: A one of a kind fashion show in one of the most uptown places in Dubai drew a great response after ICONIC, a fashion brand organized a first of the city fashion show. What is interesting in this fashion show is that the models and the costume designers are students between the ages 14 to 20.
The ICONIC Youth Fashion Show was conducted on October 14 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Palm Jumeirah and had easily drawn around 500 visitors who are fashion enthusiasts. The young designers and models made sure that the enthusiasts were not disappointed as there was a new level of creativity in the youngsters that was brought out to the fore.
The young models were shortlisted from various schools and universities across Dubai to showcase the brand’s Autumn Winter 2016 collection of designer clothes. ICONIC realized the talents of the selected models and gave them an opportunity to walk the ramp with the best collection of clothes they had. As a part of the experience, ICONIC had also hosted a two day workshop for the participants to make them aware of the nutrition, fitness and grooming to prepare themselves for the event.
Raza Beig, the CEO of ‘Splash & ICONIC’ and the Director of Landmark Group said, “This youth oriented fashion show is a great platform to highlight the real consumer and create a new generation of fashionistas. There will be an extensive training process that will help them gain the confidence that they need to project themselves effectively in this cut-throat industry.”
