New Delhi : In lieu of Sanjay Singh, who is being held in judicial custody after his arrest in relation to the Delhi excise policy case, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) designated Raghav Chadha as the party’s leader in the Rajya Sabha on Saturday.
The AAP declared that Raghav Chadha would lead the party in the Rajya Sabha in Sanjay Singh’s absence.
In relation to the purported excise policy scam, Singh was taken into custody by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on October 4 of this year.
A few days after being detained by the CBI on February 27 in relation to the same case, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was also taken into custody by the ED on March 9 of this year.
Sisodia is also facing legal action.
