Raichur: Eight individuals are facing legal action for displaying the Palestine flag during Eid Milad processions on September 16. The incidents occurred at two different locations, prompting FIRs to be filed against them on September 17 for allegedly offending religious sentiments.
Reports indicate that a man named Sheikh Masoom was seen waving the Palestine flag and chanting pro-Palestine slogans near Khata Darwaza around 7:30 PM. When police attempted to intervene, he fled the scene. Additionally, two individuals, Sophie and Mehraj, were spotted carrying the Palestine flag near Ashraya Colony at 6:30 PM.
Complaints have been lodged at the Raichur Rural police station against R. Hussain, Syed Jabbar, Taher, Syed Sadiq, and Mohammad Rauf for permitting Sophie and Mehraj to participate in the procession.
