Raichur witnessed fiery speeches on Thursday as Chhattisgarh-based anti-caste movement leader Tuhin Dev strongly condemned the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), labeling it a “global terrorist organization” and holding it accountable for the assassinations of rationalists like Gauri Lankesh, M.M. Kalburgi, and Govind Pansare.
Addressing a gathering at the “Anti-Hindu Rashtra People’s Convention” in Lingasugur, he alleged that the RSS is steering India towards a Hindu Rashtra by handing over national resources to corporate giants. Dev further accused the Modi-led government of acting as an “RSS agent,” claiming that “double-engine governments” in states like Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan are implementing anti-Dalit and anti-marginalized policies.
Kanaka Gurupith’s Siddharamanandapuri Swami warned against attempts to replace the Indian Constitution with a “Manuwadi, Sanatan Constitution” and criticized forces that, according to him, exploit farmers, laborers, Dalits, and minorities for ideological gains.
Presiding over the event, activist R. Manasayya accused the RSS of sowing communal discord while neglecting the needs of marginalized youth. He called on Dalits, backward communities, and minorities to unite against alleged government efforts to undermine the Constitution.
Several religious leaders and activists attended, including Pandit Sufi Syed Bhasha, Buddhist monk Dhammadeep Banteji, Valmiki Gurupeeth’s Varadaneshwara Swami, and Karnataka Janashakti president Noor Sridhar.
