
Ronald Gomes Elected President of Catholic Association of South Kanara
Mangaluru: Ronald Gomes has been unanimously elected as President of the Catholic Association of South Kanara (CASK) during the 111th Annual General Body Meeting held today at Bendur Church Hall. Gomes is the Founder and Managing Director of Sunray Products Pvt. Ltd., a prominent company in solar on-grid power projects with over 27 years of experience across South India, including operations and maintenance projects at Cochin International Airport and the world’s largest floating solar power project in Omkareshwar, Madhya Pradesh.
Joining Gomes in leadership roles are Marjorie Texeira and Dr. Rohan Monis, who have been elected as Vice Presidents. Peter Pinto will serve as the new Secretary, with Titus Noronha as Joint Secretary and Ronald Mendonca as Treasurer. The Governing Council comprises Ian Lobo, Irwin Lobo, Darryl Lasrado, Jude Rego, Dr. Anil Gomes, Marcel Monteiro, Keith D’Souza, and Sapna Noronha.
The proceedings of the 111th AGBM were conducted by outgoing President Capt. Vincent Pais. Secretary Dr. Anand Pereira presented the minutes from the previous AGM, while Treasurer Norbert Shenoy delivered the financial reports. Election Officer Walter D’Souza oversaw the election of the new office bearers.
Upon taking charge, President Ronald Gomes outlined his vision for the betterment of CASK and the community it serves. Secretary Peter Pinto concluded the meeting with a vote of thanks, marking a new chapter in the leadership of CASK. The association aims to continue its commitment to the Catholic community and enhance its contributions in various sectors.
