Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar assured that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) set up by the government will ensure the reputation of Dharmasthala remains untarnished. “The truth will soon come to light,” she told reporters on Tuesday.
The minister stated that the Home Minister has already clarified the matter in the Assembly and that the investigation will bring out the facts at the earliest.
Referring to the Shravan Monday rituals, she said all Veerashaiva-Lingayat ministers, MLAs, and Legislative Council members took part in the puja and community lunch. “It was a warm and meaningful gathering. Along with the caste census, we also deliberated on the progress and upliftment of our community,” Hebbalkar added.
