According to recent reports, the iPhone 16 Pro Max may come out later this year with a larger display than Apple’s flagship phone of the current generation. Now, pictures of the iPhone 15 Pro Max and a mockup of the rumored phone have surfaced online. Based on images shared by a tipster on X (formerly Twitter), it appears that this year’s handset may have a slightly larger screen. The ‘Capture’ button that is rumored to be included in Apple’s iPhone 16 series is also visible in the released images.

Three leaked images of the rumored iPhone 16 Pro Max were released by Majin Bu (X: @MajunBuOfficial), a tipster. The pictures show mock-ups of the phone next to the company’s current generation flagship, the iPhone 15 Pro Max, for scale. The iPhone 16 Pro Max is rumored to have a 6.9-inch display, which implies the screen will likely be 0.2mm bigger than the one on the previous model.

The iPhone 16 Pro Max is not expected to be significantly bigger than the iPhone 15 Pro Max of the current generation, despite the images suggesting a slight increase in size. We are unable to determine the size of the bezels or whether the upgraded display will enable the company to provide a higher resolution from the dummy unit.

The leaked dummy unit is also shown to have a rear camera module that is slightly taller that the already large one on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. However, it’s too early to tell whether the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a larger or taller rear camera, based on a leaked image of a dummy unit.

Another hardware addition to the iPhone 16 series — Apple’s rumoured Capture button — is also visible on the iPhone 16 Pro Max dummy unit. Earlier reports have suggested that all four models in the iPhone 16 lineup are likely to be equipped with the new button, while the Action button on the iPhone 15 Pro models could also make its way to the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus this year.
