As the technology advances the back end detection process too gets a new boost. Google known for its technical advancements, is also popular for “Google Talk”, through which searching songs was made easier. Currently, Google has decided to change its algorithm of music search from “Hey Google! What’s this song” command to “Sound Search.”

Sound Search is powered by Google AI technology which enhances the power of search of your favourite music.

How does it work?
It functions on the basis of the popular songs. If the song is not of that popularity then it skips into an advanced search mode through the AI mode. The search is said to be four times faster than the previous command.

The Mountain-View based tech says that Google’s cloud based artificial intelligence will accelerate the process of recognising the song.

The algorithms are said to be adjusted according to the popularity of the song.

About Sound Search

Sound Search is a technology that is made available on Google Pixel 2, which can detect the sound from the ambiance and recognise the song. But here Sound Search will be having a larger database due to which it can easily detect music variants.

The best part of it is that the Google has decided to make it compatible with the noisy condition as well.

Sound Search is currently unavailable in India and Google has not disclosed anything yet on its availability.
