If you are using X, formerly known as Twitter, and you find yourself scratching your head to understand the ‘click here’ trend on this social media platform, you’re not alone.
The trend is going viral and many celebrities and politicians have joined the trend. It’s a new meme that has emerged, causing amusement within the online community. The trend involves users sharing images with the caption ‘click here’ and an arrow pointing to the bottom left corner, prompting viewers to click on the ‘Alt Text’.

As soon as you click the ‘Alt Text’, the image description will be displayed to the users. Many users, whether they recently opened their account on X or have been using it for many years, did not understand the significance of the arrow pointing to the bottom left corner. Users were asking what exactly it is and why users are doing this.

According to reports, this feature is important for people who are visually challenged and mainly rely on screen readers to traverse and understand content on X.

In India, political parties are mainly using this to propagate their message. Not only political parties or politicians, but also notable personalities, sports clubs, and others are widely using it to circulate their messages.

For instance, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi joined the trend, and if you click the Alt Text, the message reads “Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar,” and “Abki Baar 400 paar.”
