Collins Aerospace has unveiled its Engineering Development and Test Centre (EDTC) at its North Gate campus in Yelahanka, Bengaluru, strengthening its presence in India’s growing aerospace industry.

The state-of-the-art facility will streamline product development, testing, and certification, allowing faster market entry for cutting-edge aerospace technologies. “This centre enables us to accelerate testing and certification, making the process more efficient,” said Clay Lindwall, Senior VP, Engineering & Technology at Collins Aerospace.

Equipped with advanced testing systems, the facility ensures global safety and performance compliance for aerospace components. By conducting tests locally, Collins Aerospace can detect design adjustments earlier, reducing both costs and development time.

“This EDTC marks a significant milestone—not just for us, but for India’s aerospace industry,” said Savyasachi Srinivas, VP of Global Engineering & Technology Centres. He emphasized that this investment creates high-skilled jobs and strengthens the ‘Make in India’ initiative while enhancing India’s role in the global supply chain.

A subsidiary of US-based RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defence company, Collins Aerospace has been investing in India for over 20 years, reinforcing the country’s strategic importance in aviation and defence technology.
