Shivmogga: Farmers’ leader, HR Basavarajappa announced that Mahapanchayat protest will be held on Saturday March 20 starting from the Maurya Circle with a stop at Tumkur and finally coming together at Bhadravati by 1:30p.m.
Speaking at a press conference held here, he said that there will be no parade held due to the fear of covid second wave. He announced that this protest will be like a model for conducting programmes during covid as masks and sanitisers will be distributed here.
He added that the meeting will be unique and different and will be similar to a fair.
Speaking on the occasion, JDS leader Srikanth said farmer leaders such as Rakesh Tikait, Mahendra Singh and Chukkinjunda Swamy will participate directly from Bhadravati.
