In a fortunate escape, a private bus traveling from Mangaluru to Davanagere caught fire near Sakrebailu early Friday morning. The incident, attributed to a suspected technical fault, occurred under the jurisdiction of the Malur Police Station in Shivamogga district.
The bus was carrying over 18 passengers when the fire broke out. Thanks to the quick thinking of the driver and passengers, everyone evacuated the vehicle safely before it was fully engulfed in flames.
