Rajesh Shetty (38), a rowdy sheeter with seven cases against him, was brutally murdered near Bomanakatte, Shivamogga, on Saturday afternoon. The incident took place around 1 PM near a garage on the old Bommanakatte main road.
Sources indicate that the killing stemmed from an old grudge. Shetty, listed at the Vinoba Nagar police station, died on the spot due to the severity of the attack.
Additional Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar Bhooma Reddy and other officers visited the scene to launch an investigation. District Defense Officer GK Mithun Kumar revealed that three special teams have been formed to apprehend the culprits, adding that initial findings suggest a personal motive behind the crime.
