Producer Sreenivas Kumar Naidu, popularly known as SKN, made strong revelations during the teaser launch of director Maruthi’s upcoming film The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas. The event, held in Hyderabad, took an unexpected turn when SKN claimed that a fellow Tollywood producer tried to derail the project during its early days.

Allegations of Undermining

At the event, SKN spoke passionately about his two-decade-long friendship with Maruthi, saying, “Just as a wife understands her husband best, only a true friend knows one’s real capability. Many doubted this film, but they’ll change their tune soon. You’ll see the return of the ‘rebel god’ Prabhas that fans have longed for.”

He further dropped a major claim, stating that a Tollywood producer attempted to run a negative campaign against The Raja Saab during its production phase. SKN didn’t reveal names but praised Prabhas for staying committed and not falling prey to external pressure. “The same producer who tried to sabotage it will now sing its praises,” he predicted.

Maruthi’s Candid Confession

Director Maruthi, whose last film Pakka Commercial didn’t fare well, revealed he almost shelved The Raja Saab after the initial producer backed out. However, Prabhas’ interest and support gave him a renewed sense of purpose. “His belief in the script pushed me to continue. I realised I came to Hyderabad not to give up, but to go forward,” he shared.
