Kochi: The makers of the upcoming Mohanlal-Lijo Jose Pellissery film have announced the title of the film as Malaikottai Valiban. The film is jointly backed by John & Mary Creative, Amen Movie Monastery, Century Films and Max Lab.
Along with the title launch, the technical crew of the film was also introduced. P. S. Rafiq who collaborated with Lijo in Amen (2013) is scripting the film. On the technical front, the Director has his permanent cinematographer Madhu Neekandan (Churuli), Music Director Prashant Pillai (Amen, E.Ma.Yau), and Editor Deepu Joseph (Jallikattu, Churuli). Lijo’s co-star Tinu Pappachan is a part of the film.
Expectations are sky high for Malaikottai Valiban even though the makers haven’t started shooting yet. Director Lijo and his team are currently busy location scouting in Rajasthan, where most of the film will be shot. It is said that Mohanlal is playing the role of a wrestler in this big film.
According to reports, the team is planning to start shooting in January, 2023.
