Bengaluru: Two serials have been ruling the Kannada small screen for several years- “Agni Sakshi” and “Putta Gowri Maduve”- but for the last few weeks, they have been dropped from the top five Kannada entertainment programmes.
Every week, the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) prepares a list of top five Kannada entertainment serials and it is considered to be authentic data. Since the last couple of weeks, both these serials have not been featured in the top five programmes, instead, other serials and reality shows now are in the top five.
According to sources in the Kannada entertainment field, with both the serials getting dragged more and more and with the marriage of Vijaya Surya, the main character of “Agni Sakshi”, led to their fall in popularity.
