Mangaluru: Renowned Music Director Arjun Janya released the video of the song ‘Tequila Tequila’ from the Tulu comedy film Illu Okkel, co-produced by Dr. Suresh Chitrapu under the banner of Sri Gajani Productions.
This song is now popular everywhere. The song has been composed by the film’s Director Dr Suresh Chitrapu. Similarly, the song has been sung by Bollywood and Tollywood singer Tippu.
Illu Okkel is slated to hit the screens across the Coastal District on October 21.
Kusaldarase Naveen D. Padil, Tulunada Manikya Aravind Bolar, Navarasa Raje Bhojaraj Vamanjoor will be seen in the lead roles in the film and will make the audience laugh.
It is completely a comedy-horror film for which J. S. Rajasha has composed music. Songs sung by Tippu, Raghu Dixit and Mime Ramdas are already doing the rounds on social media. The film is bankrolled by Vasudev S. Chitrapu. Aditi Shetty is the heroine of the film, V. J. Vineeth, Vismaya Vinayak, Umesh Mijaru, Sunil Nelligudde, Mime Ramdas, Rajesh Poojary, Radesh Shenoy, Chandrakala Mohan, Roopa Varkady, Yakshagana artiste Charlie Chaplin Sitaram Kateel and Nireeksha Shetty are in pivotal roles.
Storyline
Illu Okkel is an experimental entertainment. The script is made with a special focus on the comic tragedies. At another stage, the film will take on a horror look and the makers want the audience to enjoy the horror in a humorous manner. This is a new attempt in Tulu cinema in this regard. This has naturally created curiosity and interest among the audience.
The characters of mason, painter, plumber, writer, engineer, and carpenter have attracted the attention of the audience here. Though it is a comedy film, the film has given a good message to the society says the film’s Director Dr. Suresh Chitrapu.
