When it comes to Sandalwood, we have seen several successful transitions from small screen to big screen. Joining the list now, is Chaithra Rao. The “Jodi Hakki” actress is a household name in Karnataka due to her acting stint on the small screen. Now she will make her debut in Puneeth Rajkumar’s upcoming production venture.
Puneeth’s second venture as producer is titled “Mayabazaar.” It marks the directorial debut of Radhakrishna Reddy and has Chaithra in the cast, along with Raj B Shetty, Prakash Rai, Vasista Simha and Sudharani among others.
Radhakrishna was in search of a big-built actress to play this role. But, after seeing Chaitra, he tweaked the character to suit her. The director was surfing channels when he happened to see an episode of “Jodi Hakki.” He later contacted her and she was picked for the role.
The actress, who started as a child artiste, had worked in the TV serial “Manase O Manase.” She later did serials such as “Chakravyuha” and “Raaga Anuraaga” and is currently busy shooting for her recurring role in “Jodi Hakki.”
