Mysuru: Well-known sandalwood actor Duniya Vijay paid a secret visit to jail and displayed great humanitarian concern due to which a woman who continued to live in jail after completing her jail term of seven years received solace.
Lakshmamma a convict from Sakleshpura completed her jail sentence a week ago but could not come out as she did not have money to pay the fine amounting to Rs 22,000. None of her relatives came forward to her aid at the critical juncture. Mysuru Jail authorities informed Duniya Vijay about her situation and without any delay the actor showed his generous nature by helping the lady and making sure that she was released.
Incidentally, he had paid fine amounts in 3 similar cases earlier and wanted his deeds wrapped in ‘secret’ and did not want any media attention for the same.
However he could not avoid the camera eye as his deed opened gates of freedom for a woman who will remember his action in her life time.
