Kannada film “Hebbet Rammakka” directed by Nanjunde Gowda has won the 65th national award in the regional film category. The film is about women’s political reservations and its tag line is “Sama baalu Sama paalu”.
The director wanted to make this film in south Indian languages and in Marathi as well because it is an educative film about women and constitutional rights. However, due to budget constraints, he could only make it in Kannada.
The film stars Tara and Devaraj in the lead with music by Poornachandra Tejaswi. It is expected to release on April 27. With a national award recognistion, we can expect the audience to flock to the theatres to watch the film.
