Bengaluru: Kiccha Sudeep’s recent tweet has irked the netizens, specifically the women. In a bid to retaliate against Challenging star Darshan and his fans in the context of the ongoing piracy row, Sudeep had taken to twitter and said that ‘he and his friends are donning a ‘Kada’ (an armband worn by men) and not a bangle”.
Many expressed disappointment over this statement and now, the star has given an explanation.
“To all those wonderful ladies who took an offence to my word “bale” it was a reply to few sarcastic comments tat were made towarrds my frnzz n me,,wch u could see in the video below. I surely don’t not fall into the category,, who condemn women. Mch luv to all,” read a tweet from Sudeep.
In addition to this, Sudeep, in an interview too said that malicious propaganda has been going on against him and that some unidentified persons had tweeted saying he and his friends should wear bangles!
“I have only replied to this tweet that I received. I have not insulted women in any way. I am not the sorts who will ever poke my nose into others’ issues. But when my films are being targeted, I need to speak up. I have stood for my film producers and I don’t see anything wrong in doing so. I have not made any personal reference to anybody in that tweet,” said Sudeep.
One time best buddies, Sudeep and Darshan are now sharing hostile equation with each other. The hostility was out in open when Kiccha Sudeep’s new release ‘Pehlwan’ was out and pirated version of the film started making rounds with a few days of release of the film. Sudeep fans accused Darshan’s fans for the same and since then a coldwar has been going on.
