“Kanchana 3” is all set to be released in the Kannada language, along with the original Tamil and dubbed Telugu versions, in Karnataka. Written and directed by Raghava Lawerence, the film is the third installment of the Muni series and has been co-produced by Sun Pictures. The film will hit theatres on April 19.
The Malayalam film, “Oru Adaar Love” was the first film to get a simultaneous release in Kannada earlier this year in February 2019. Since the film did not do well at the box office, there are a lot of expectations on the Kannada version of “Kanchana 3”, as it can start a trend of other films also being released in Kannada.
“Kanchana 3” already has some connection to the Kannada film indusrty, with actors llike Vedhika, Oviya and Kabir Duhan Singh playing pivotal roles. All these actors have acted in Kannada films in the past. Interestingly, two installments of the Muni series were also made in Kananda. “Kanchana” and “Kanchana 2” were distributed as “Kalpana” and “Kalpana 2”.
